Why we fit FOX ESS

FOX ESS make hybrid inverters and batteries that combine well with a wide range of panels. We have fitted them with Canadian Solar on a flat roof and with twenty all-black panels on a slate roof.

The equipment is compact enough to live in a garage, workshop or plant room with the protection alongside it, which keeps the working parts of the system out of the living space.

The inverter display and app make it easy to confirm the system is running as it should after commissioning.

FOX ESS questions we get asked

Where does the FOX ESS equipment go?

Usually a garage, workshop, plant room or utility space with good access. The distance to the incoming supply is the thing most likely to affect the price.

Can I add a FOX ESS battery to existing solar?

Often, yes. Whether a hybrid replacement or an AC-coupled battery is better depends on the inverter you already have. We check at survey.

How do I know it is working?

The inverter display shows the system status, and the FOX app shows generation, battery level and grid use.
