About Solar Fx — Solar and Battery Installers Near Reading
Solar Fx designs and installs solar panels, battery storage and EV chargers for homes and commercial buildings across Berkshire and the South East. We work from 1 Loves Close, Burghfield Common, just outside Reading, and the people who survey your roof are the people who carry out the work.
Who we are
Solar Fx is a Reading-based installer registered in England and Wales (company number 15818680). Reading and the surrounding Berkshire towns are our home patch, and we take on work within roughly two hours of Basingstoke — Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, West Sussex, Wiltshire and west London.
We do not sell on the doorstep, and we do not quote a price over the telephone. Every system is designed after a survey of the actual roof and consumer unit, and every price we issue is a fixed written quotation.

How we work
- Survey before price. We measure the roof, check rafter centres and covering, assess shading and look at your consumption data.
- Fixed written quotation. The design, the equipment and the price are written down before anything is agreed.
- Our own installation team. The work follows our published installation standards for roof, electrical and commissioning work.
- Paperwork handed over. Commissioning records, certificates and export registration are part of the job, not an extra.
- Aftercare. We stay the first point of contact for faults and warranty claims on systems we install.

Panels carry a 30-year manufacturer warranty, batteries and inverters 10 years, and our own workmanship is guaranteed for 6 years.
