Bracknell was designated a new town in 1949 and most of its housing dates from the decades that followed. That gives it a distinctive mix: a lot of 1950s and 1960s housing built quickly and to a pattern, later estate development, and a substantial amount of recent regeneration around the town centre.
A feature of the earlier new town housing that matters here more than elsewhere is the flat and shallow-pitched roof. Bracknell has more of them than most Berkshire towns, and they are a different job from a conventional pitched roof.

Yes, using a mounting system that raises the panels to an angle, either ballasted with weight or mechanically fixed through the covering. The critical questions are the condition and remaining life of the roof membrane, and whether the structure can take the additional load — both of which we assess before designing anything.
Will a flat roof array be visible from the street?
Usually much less than a pitched roof array, because the panels sit low behind the parapet or roof edge. It is one of the genuine advantages of a flat roof.
